ebay weirdos Hurricane Frances

MIAMI - During the time of a tragedy, there are always those people who will try to make a profit off of it. It isn't surprising, then, that some individuals are trying to make a buck off the destruction caused by Hurricane Frances in Florida. Over 170 remnants of the storm went up for sale on eBay's Internet auction site on Monday. A Tupperware container filled with wind had a starting bid of a penny. Photos revealed residents running around with containers trying to "catch" the wind. The request by a Longwood resi- dent for someone to purchase parts of an oak tree that fell on his home and car received no bids. Many people in the path of Frances failed to see the humor in the auctions. "This is a disaster," said 77-year-old Gloria Aragona, who was evacuated with her husband from their Palm Bay mobile home. "It's nothing to make money on."
