Seattle - I bet he could hardly 'bear' the hangover. Sorry,
bad joke. What isn't a joke is this story about a black bear
who wandered onto a campground in Washington state, and like
any normal male, zeroed in on the coolers filled with cans of
beer. After using his claws and teeth to open the beer, the
hard-drinking bear managed to finish off three dozen cans.
"We noticed a bear sleeping on the common lawn and wondered
what was going on until we discovered that there were a lot
of beer cans lying around," said Lisa Broxson, a worker at
the Baker Lake Resort, 80 miles northeast of Seattle. After
trying a mass-market Busch beer, he apparently switched to
Rainier Beer, a local ale, and stuck with that for his binge.
Wildlife agents were able to set a trap for the bear, and
he was captured for relocation.
